Fire up your camera and capture a picture for your chance to win a weekend getaway in Ontario’s Wine Country.

As part of the Official Guide to the Wineries of Ontario, the Wine Council of Ontario is launching an exciting contest to encourage consumers to submit their best picture of Ontario's Wine Country. The contest will include categories by season to showcase the year-round appeal of the region. Capture the picturesque backgrounds and the lush vineyards from the best Ontario wineries.

The contest will feature a panel of four judges who will review the entries and submit the finalists to the Wine Council of Ontario website. Judges are:

• Heidi Allen, owner of Michael’s Photography Studio
  and host of 610 Radio
• Ken Weir, President of the Grape and Wine Festival
• Heather Cooper, Canadian Artist
• Hillary Dawson, President of the Wine Council of Ontario

The public will vote for their favourite picture to determine the winner.

The winning photograph will appear in the pages of the Official Guide and on the Wine Council of Ontario website.

Sending a photo is one of many ways you can help build awareness of Ontario’s wine region as a scenic tourism destination.
